First off I would like to thank you for taking time out of your busy day to read this story. I’m guessing that you are asking yourself why I have used such a weird title for this story…and right after that you are saying to yourself, “What is the REAL reason for a belly button”? Well, I’m not going to sell the farm right off the start, so you will need to keep on reading. Obviously with a name like that, you would think that there will be some humour in this story that will make you laugh. Well I would like to think so, but this story isn’t all funny and I would like to think that through this story God will touch you and encourage you. Whether you have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ or not, I would encourage you to read on because no matter what, we all go through the same thing…LIFE!
So what is this story about? It’s about me! Who am I? Well, my name is Chad King and I am part of an ICBA Chapter in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada…but really I am Nobody. I don’t say that to put myself down, but when I look back from 2002 to 2006 and see what I had been through, I know that the only reason I was able to get through that time was by the grace & strength of God.
In the grand scheme of life we all face challenges, some big, some small. God never promised us a life of riches and good health, but he did say that we would face trials and tribulations. While reading this story you will see them, but I hope you will also see what God was doing even in the midst of these challenges. Maybe you or someone you know has been faced or are facing some of these challenges right now and I hope that this story will encourage you and give you strength to keep going and never give up.
So…let’s get on with it. First and foremost, you need to understand that there are 3 reasons, that I am able to share this story with you. If you want the readers digest version you can stop reading after this next section.
Here it goes…
Reason 1:
God’s Grace – It is only by the grace of God that I was able to write
this letter and you read it today. As you read on you will understand why it is
God’s grace, because without it I would be dead right now!
Reason 2:
Answered Prayer – I tell everyone that I am an answer to prayer. Up
until May 2005, I was a person greatly in need of prayer because I was literally
walking in the face of death and had those prayers not been answered I wouldn’t
be here today.
Reason 3:
A Signature – That’s a weird one…a signature.
